The Institute for Entrepreneurship (IES) at the University of Bonn, founded in August 2022 as part of the Faculty of Agricultural, Nutritional and Engineering Sciences, aims to promote entrepreneurial spirit across the entire University of Bonn through knowledge transfer, research, and teaching.
Working with the Transfer Centre enaCom and colleagues from all faculties, the IES facilitates the transfer of knowledge and technology to society and the economy. A crucial aspect is cultivating early entrepreneurship awareness among students and equipping them with essential business start-up skills. To achieve this, the IES is establishing entrepreneurship education beyond the Faculty of Agricultural, Nutritional and Engineering Sciences, maximizing the University of Bonn's start-up and transfer potential.
Led by Prof. Dr. Denise Fischer-Kreer (Chair of Entrepreneurial Behaviour) and Prof. Dr. David Antons (Chair of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management in Agribusiness), our interdisciplinary team offers extensive opportunities for collaboration. Please feel free to contact us – we look forward to hearing from you!"

Entrepreneurial Behaviour
We foster an entrepreneurial mindset in students and investigate how entrepreneurs can effectively drive sustainable transformations.
The Chair of Entrepreneurial Behaviour aims to empower students to think and act entrepreneurially, whether they are pursuing their own ventures or acting as changemakers within established organizations.
Entrepreneurship and Innovation management in Agribusiness
We integrate technology and innovation management with entrepreneurial action amidst anthropogenic climate change.
The Chair of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management in Agribusiness researches strategic, behavioral, and algorithmic aspects of technology and innovation management, with a specific emphasis on sustainable agricultural development and climate change adaptation."

The Chair of Entrepreneurial Behaviour, headed by Prof. Dr. Fischer-Kreer, investigates entrepreneurial behaviour, particularly within sustainability-oriented and regenerative entrepreneurship. A key focus is on how entrepreneurs can become essential solution providers for ecological and social challenges. To this end, we examine mechanisms that enable entrepreneurs and managers to combine economic, social, and ecological values in their companies.
The Chair of Entrepreneurial Behaviour acts as a central hub for knowledge transfer and is a regional network partner. We consider knowledge and technology transfer to society to be a key activity, alongside teaching and research. The Chair forms the interface between the Faculty of Agricultural, Nutritional and Engineering Sciences and the enaCom Transfer Centre.
