ACERE is the annual entrepreneurship research conference for the Australasia region and brings together researchers from around the world—exactly the right environment to put their own work to the test. Dorothee and Kristin took advantage of the opportunity on multiple occasions: during feedback sessions on their full papers, in the Paper Development Workshop, at the Doctoral Consortium, and in the roundtable sessions, where they presented their research for discussion.
The sense of community remains particularly memorable. As Dorothee describes it: “What impressed me most was the community: It’s not about exchanging business cards here, but about finding common ground from which genuine collaboration grows—for science, for impact beyond science, and on a personal level. It was all the more wonderful as a pair; we came back motivated and full of new ideas.”
